Nieuwpoort International Boatshow 24th - 26th October

Cheetah enthusiasts are invited to visit two new Professional and Private fishing Cheetahs delivered to Belgium this year. The two new builds will be exhibited by Cheetah Agent, Jan De Jonghe at Nieuwpoort International Boatshow from the 24th –26th October.

Jan will be exhibiting Bon Vivant, a version of Cheetah’s 9mseries (see full story below) alongside 9.98m White Pearl, from Cheetah’s beamiest 3.7m mould. White Pearl features twin 250hp Honda outboards which have been converted for the use of LPG.

‘Bon Vivant’ to Blankenberge

Bon Vivant joins ten other Cheetahs in Belgium sold by Jan de Jonghe. New owner Tony Verlinden has downsized from his previous 10.2mcharter fishing Cheetah and intends to use the boat solely for private fishing.

At 8.5m, Bon Vivant is a shortened version of Cheetah’s popular 9.95m hull and with a 3.6m beam provides ample deck space without compromising on waterline length to weight ratios.

Bon Vivant features Cheetah’s new wider wheelhouse, which takes full advantage of the wide beam available forward on a catamaran. Without a tapering bow, usable accommodation space is possible side to side, which retains the maximum area available for the deck and in Tony’s case, fishing. The cabin, measures 1.5m from the dash aft, has seating for two anglers in addition to the helm suspension seat. A separate head is located in the porthull and rod storage and a berth are located in front of the steering console.

Powered by twin 200hp Yamaha outboards Bon Vivant had her first lengthy sea voyage on her trip to Blankenberge. The 175 mile trip took just over seven hours consuming 2.05 litres per sea mile.

New Owner Tony said ‘This is the perfect boat for me to go fishing when I have time. With top speeds of 39 knots and very economical cruising speeds at 25 knots I can also fish for half a day.’

Other professional fishermen have shown enthusiasm on arrival of Tony's new 8.5m:

"this is now the perfect angling Cheetah , simple and light, fast and stable"

In late September a further Cheetah was collected from the Cheetah workshops. Newowner, Sven Vervloesem currently has his new 7.9m stationed in Belgium and will soon be continuing further north to Denmark.
