Show season continues: cruising south for winter

Grand Pavois: 28th - 3rd October, La Rochelle

The new 6.9m introduced at La Rochelle last year is back in a new form for 2016. Inspired by growing enthusiasm amongst sports fisherman on both sides of the Channel the new 6.9m is a perfect dayboat for fishing comfortably in rougher sea conditions.

‘Cheetah’ will cruise economically at 20 knots and can be easily launched and recovered from Cheetah Marine’s twin axle disc braked trailer. The whole rig weighing in at 2500kg gives huge flexibility for towing and storage as well as plentiful options for exploring from new launch sites.

The new model features an open cab with easy access from helm to deck enabling the operator to switch from the helm and cast directly into shoals visible on the surface.

Starboard helm and offset dash leaves the port side open for a 2m long bench seat which doubles up as a berth with rod storage under. Twin Honda 80hp extra long shaft engines with Hydrive hydraulic steering produce speeds over 30 knots with good cruising produced at a litre a mile. Twin 62 ltr fuel tanks are fitted in the transom.

Cheetah Marine will be at Grand Pavois in La Rochelle on Pontoon 1, berth 1. The 6.9m is available for demonstrations throughout the show and on the 4th October.
