Cheetah Marine has been working closely with leading UK trailer manufacturer Dixon Bate and has produced a complimentary range of trailers for the 5.5, 6.2, 6.9 and 7.9m Cheetahs.
Currently two models are available to support Cheetahs with a beam of up to 2.7m. The twin axle trailer is suitable for the 5.5 and 6.2m models whilst the triaxle model is suitable for the 6.9 and 7.9m Cheetahs. The whole boat is simply powered on or off either the 4 wheel or 6 wheel trailer.
With a combined weight of under 3500kg, road towing is both legal and safe, with a suitable vehicle such as a Toyota Landcruiser.
A revolutionary new disc braking system eliminates the sticking or seizing of the brakes associated with conventional drum brakes when used in salt water.
With a higher resistance to marine corrosion, disc-brakes require less frequent and easier maintenance with excellent braking efficiency.
Sean Strevens, Cheetah's designer says “We have lots of customers looking for a fast spacious boat that they can use for a mixture of cruising, fishing and other activities. They want to be able to take it to different launch sites, including overseas. After making delivery trips exceeding 2000 km we have absolute confidence in the design and construction of these trailers”
