Cheetah Part Builds Popular with Commercial Fishermen

[12 Dec 2009] With over 260 bespoke builds under their belt, catamaran builder Cheetah Marine continue to work at full capacity. 2009 has proved popular with commercial part builds in addition to the usual completed package.

[02 Dec 2009] The 250th Cheetah, a 7.2m craft named "Sushi", attracts attention at home and abroad, including this article in BoatMart. Eddy Claes and Erwin Reijmenants bought the part completed boat with engines and steering fitted and completed it themselves.

‘White Ribbon’ will enable British Geological Survey to map infamous datagap around our coast

[13 Nov 2009] Cheetah Marine, has been working closely with the British Geological Survey (BGS) to provide the BGS with a specialised road towable hydrographic survey catamaran. The 7.9m Cheetah which is named 'White Ribbon' refers to the data gap within the coastal zone where traditionally data collection has been difficult.

Hydrographic Survey Cheetah in Northern Holland

[04 Nov 2009] The latest hydrographic survey Cheetah Catamaran was delivered to Dutch Company Heuvelman Ibis earlier this month. 'Cetus' measures 6.2m LOA and has been fitted with the long survey style wheelhouse. Seatrials in October at Cheetahs base at Ventnor Haven achieved top speeds of 26 knots with twin Honda 50hp outboards.

7.9m Cheetah designed and built for operation by Skipper in Wheelchair

[02 Nov 2009] Retired Engineer Vic Toy approached Cheetah Marine for a specialised one off catamaran which would allow Vic in his wheelchair and wife Joan to enjoy the high seas. 7.9m 'Hadron' has been specifically designed and built to accommodate Vic's requirements.

Light Weight Construction Keeps Beach launching Easy

[07 Sep 2009] A new 6.2m Cheetah Catamaran has joined the growing fleet of Cheetah Catamarans fishing from the south side of the Isle of Wight. 6.2m 'Monks Bay' is one of the first Cheetahs to be completed at the new Cheetah Marine Headquarters at Ventnor Haven and had a short delivery of just 1 mile to her new home at Bonchurch.
